Geography Trainer US States 1.1 Description
Geography
Trainer US States is an educational program designed for school-age
children that will help them practice and reinforce their geography
knowledge. It focuses on the US States capitals and uses a
straightforward method to help children memorize the forty eight cities.
It proposes a game-like method that consists in questions and answers. Using a simple user interface, the program shows a question and a blank space below it to enter your answer. Once you do that, the program will show you whether it is correct or not, and will keep track of your overall performance. Below the question and answer fields, the program displays some statistics, like the percentage of correct answers, the number of questions answered, etc. It also keeps track of the highest scores, however it doesn't offer the possibility of creating profiles for different users/students.
The program is free and has no limitations whatsoever. The only problem is that there isn't much to it. Besides, its interface is too simple; it would have been great if it included a map or any sort of interactive content to offer school-age kids a more fun learning experience.

Uncharted Waters Online 2.014 Description
Uncharted
Waters Online is a multiplayer online game. The action takes place
somewhere around the 15th century. It is set in Europe and even though
it has some fantasy content, most of the artwork is highly realistic.
The game offers two styles of gameplay: land and sea. When on land you
are under captain's control, and the gameplay is similar to most MMO
games. At sea however, everything is much different and the game
mechanics are really well optimized for ship navigation.
When first entering the game you will need to create a character. The customization process doesn't have many features. You can choose among a number of preset models and add some modifications here and there. After that you can choose among a number of 6 European nations of that era. The main difference among them is that you'll have different language skills. Each nation speaks 3 languages other than their own. After this you will choose a job: Adventure, Trading or Military. Each one has its own perks and will determine some gameplay factors, although not that much.
When your character enters the world you will start with a very long tutorial. It will contain quests that will describe and thoroughly explain most of the game's features. After about 1 hour and a half playing, I still didn't finish the tutorial. The gameplay is a lot of fun. It has an autopilot feature which automatically takes you to a point on the map. This is useful because the game doesn't offer a quest helper, so you should read everything and go on your own. Another nice thing is that you can take part in huge naval battles which look outstanding. The only thing I don't like about the gameplay mechanics are the controls. They are difficult to get used to at once because they are quite different from other games.
Overall, Uncharted Waters Online is a great game, and it can appeal to anyone who likes naval simulations or just plainly being a pirate.

TransferBigFiles 1.2 Description
Electronic
mail services support sending different types of files as attachments.
However, most of them will not allow sending large attachments (bigger
than 10 Mb).
TransferBigFiles is intended to help you share large files. Although the final user will feel it like sending an attachment via e-mail, what this application really does is to upload the file to the cloud and send the addressee a link to download it. However, to be able to use this capacity, you will need to create a TransferBigFiles account. The good news is that they will offer a reasonable free quota of online storage space, which means that only people needing to send large amounts of data regularly will have to actually pay for this service. Another advantage is that you will be able to carry out the whole process from this single application. In this respect, you will be able to upload files in batches and send links to groups of recipients.
What are the drawbacks of using this application? Compared with other similar programs, TransferBigFiles does not really integrate with Windows Explorer, so you will not be able to use the right click to upload files. In addition, it does not provide integration with your e-mail client.
In general, TransferBigFiles is an intuitive application, which I am sure you will be able to use without much difficulty.
